Hall Engineering powers up with funding
Hall Engineering is set to expand its workforce after securing a £200,000 loan from Lloyds TSB Commercial. The Staffordshire-based manufacturer has relocated to larger premises.
Specialising in supplying agricultural machinery for wholesale and retail markets, Hall Engineering has a turnover of £500,000. It is now aiming to boost this by £50,000 over the next 12 months.
The company secured the six-figure loan to complete its relocation from rented offices to a larger premises on Portland Street, Leek.
Damon Hall, owner of Hall Engineering, said: "While the manufacturing sector generally has been hard-hit by the recession over the past couple of years, the agricultural sector, particularly arable farming, has remained buoyant.
"Having our own building will give us complete freedom to customise our manufacturing processes, enabling us to increase both the variety and volume of the work we do, including metal machining, and is a part of our continued expansion programme."
He added that the company was now set to create three new job roles, boosting the company's workforce to ten.
