Goodeseats named £50k enterprise winner
Goodeseats, based in Nottingham, has been named the Midlands' regional winner in Barclays' One Small Step competition.
The company, which manufactures heated covers for sports stadium seats, was one of nine winners of £50,000 from across the UK.
Alongside the prize money, Goodeseats will have access to free support and advice from Barclays.
Goodeseats won the Midlands title after a public vote to decide the nation's top enterprising ideas.
Lesley Goode from the company said: "Winning this prize money will enable us to expand the business more quickly than we would otherwise have been able to do. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who voted for us and to the staff at our local Barclays branches for their ongoing support."
More than 5,000 businesses registered to take part in the competition following its launch in March. They were then whittled down to a final shortlist of 27 enterprise ideas across nine UK regions before the final winners were decided.
