Pearson wings in for Hull FC
Former Derby County Football Club chairman Adam Pearson has taken control of Super League club Hull FC.
Pearson, head of football operations at Championship football club Hull City FC, has bought the entire shareholding from the previous shareholders.
He said: "I would like to express my pleasure at completing the acquisition of Hull FC today and thank the outgoing board under Kath Hetherington and the RFL for the professional and confidential manner in which they handled this change of ownership.
"I have now purchased the entire shareholding of Hull FC and will be investing further funds into the club in order to ensure it can now kick on and develop into one of the very strongest Super League clubs.
"Hull FC has a strong tradition in the game and now needs to progress and develop into a major force in the domestic and international game.
"The previous owners have done a fine job initially stabilising and then progressing the club and brand of Hull FC over the last decade."
In football, Pearson has been involved with Hull City FC since leaving his post as Leeds United commercial director to become chairman in 2001.
He sold Hull City in June 2007, becoming executive chairman at Derby County, before returning to the KC Stadium in November 2009.
