JBC Training opens up in Leicester
A computer training specialist has opened up a new centre in Leicester after securing finance from Barclays Corporate.
JBC Training offers ICT apprenticeships to 16-18 year olds as well as adult learning courses.
After expanding into Leicester, the Coventry-based company said it plans to open up a site in Northampton in the next year.
The Leicester centre can host up to 40 apprentices on its programme which covers the installation, configuration and maintenance of IT systems.
JBC's expansion into Leicester, which was completed after securing an undisclosed funding package, has created seven new jobs.
Dan Pearson from JBC Training said: "I am delighted that we have been able to open a new training centre here in Leicester offering paid apprenticeships for young people who are interested in a career in ICT.
"It’s an industry which we believe has good long term prospects and we have already seen a great deal of demand for the places available."
