The Nottingham office of property adviser DTZ has sold a former bank premises in Retford for £225,000.

Sold to a private investor, 23-24 The Square is a four storey, Grade II listed Georgian building. It comprises 4,500 sq ft of retail and office space.

The building has planning permission for a ground floor extension and conversion to two leisure or retail units, as well as consent for residential apartments on the upper floors.

George Alcock, Surveyor at DTZ in Nottingham, said: "This was an attractive listed Georgian building and, with planning consent already approved for a ground floor extension and conversion of the upper floors to residential accommodation, we received considerable interest."

DTZ acted on behalf of the law of property act (LPA) receiver, RSM Tenon.
