Mightyfine Victorian development unveiled

Share | |

A decaying Victorian development has been rebuilt by Kidderminster-based Mightyfine Developments. Having secured a business loan from Lloyds TSB Commercial, the company created 13 properties on the site.

Eight 'new build' houses were constructed, alongside five energy efficient properties.

The construction company launched in 2009 and has been working on the Victorian project in Acocks Green since it was formed.

An undisclosed business loan enabled the company to purchase its first plot of land and complete the seven-figure development.

The first phase of the project, through which the dilapidated former head office of builders' merchants E H Smith was taken down and rebuilt, is now for sale.

Four more Victorian houses will be put up for sale as the second phase of the development before the end of 2011.

Rob Green, director at Mightyfine Developments, said: "One of our priorities since setting up the business has been to restore these fabulous Victorian buildings to their former glory. Since their occupation as an office block, they had fallen into disrepair and we were passionate about bringing them back to life."
