Work starts on £2.5m HQ rebuild
A £2.5m construction project to create new headquarters for a Mansfield based electrical contractors is underway. Kent PHK said the rebuild would allow it to expand the business and create new jobs.
The site was designed by Nottingham-based Williams Architects and is being built by Herbert Baggaley Construction, headquartered in Mansfield. The new building comprises a larger head office and a workshop.
The two-storey office building is designed around a central circulation core with the two floors connected by a series of voids. It is adjoined with a 10,763 sq ft workshop.
Ian Kent, director of Kent PHK, said: "Having set our roots here in Mansfield in the early 1990s we have a long standing relationship with the town and are pleased to have found a location for our new head office which we believe meets all our future requirements. We are proud to award the project to local companies and look forward to relocating in early 2012."
