Pritchard Group goes to market on Lightworks
Stafford-based property developer Pritchard Group has revealed its plans to remodel the Lightworks in Hednesford into an indoor market hall.
The site currently comprises residential properties and retail outlets. It will be remodelled by developer Pritchard group into a market space with shops along the frontage.
Pritchard Group said the decision was made the redevelop the site as the town was "suffering from a dearth of trade, particularly on the retail front".
The developer said the frontal shops and restaurant would remain, with an indoor market set for the inside, proposed to open three to four days a week subject to customer demand and tenant profile.
Individual units are also planned for the front and middle of the mall.
Fred Prichard, chairman of The Pritchard Group, said: “With a cohesive plan involving large scale development, medium and small scale development will bring about the expected regeneration of Hednesford."
