Colliers homes in on £35m estate deal
The Birmingham office of Colliers International has won a deal to manage a £35m property portfolio. The property consultant will take charge of more than 100 properties owned by Stratford-upon-Avon Town Trust.
The properties – all in Stratford-upon-Avon – include listed buildings such as 1 High Street, Judith Shakespeare’s home, and Mason’s Court, Shrieves House, supposedly England’s most haunted site.
Colliers will also manage The Boathouse on the River Avon, adjacent to Anne Hathaway’s cottage, and Stratford’s oldest public house, the Garrick Inn.
Colliers will advise on acquisitions and disposals; development; investment management; tenant relations, facilities management and health and safety.
Martyn Edwards, head of the company's investment property management team, said: "The Stratford Trust is one of the biggest charitable landowners in the country and it is a privilege to be working with them."
Prior to its appointment to manage the portfolio of properties, Colliers advised the Trust on various issues for six years.
