SSC Laser lights up with national growth plans
SSC Laser, based in Stafford, is expanding across the UK after investing £800,000 in new equipment.
The laser cutting subcontractor said it will open a network of service centres across the UK after installing a tube laser cutting machine and handling equipment.
SSC said it celebrated a "record month" for profit and turnover in June this year after opening sales offices in the Sunderland and Castle Donington.
Andy Evans, sales director at SSC Laser, said: "Our vision is to develop a nationwide network of SSC centres to give customers a local service.
"I shall be extremely disappointed if ten years from now we don’t have at least 20 of these centres dotted around the country. This will make us by far the biggest laser cutting company in the UK, which is exactly what we want to be."
SSC, founded in 2000, is co-owned by Evans and managing director Austin Jarrett. The company, which employs 36 people, said it expected turnover to exceed £4m by its next financial year-end results.
