Bonnington Plastics grows with funding
A Nottingham DIY manufacturer has launched a new division after securing investment from Yorkshire Bank. Bonnington Plastics said it has already secured £1m of orders for its new Halloween and Christmas decorations arm.
The company, which is a subsidiary of the Kingfisher Brand, manufactures gardening, DIY, leisure and homeware products.
Through its latest division, Bonnington Plastics will manufacture and supply decorations and fancy dress costumes to retailers across the UK. It secured funding from Yorkshire Bank through its Investing for Growth scheme to help with the launch.
The new arm of the business will be operated from Bonnington Plastic’s 150,000 sq ft head office on Glaisdale Parkway.
Ian Fisher, managing director of Bonnington Plastics, said: "We’re entering the market with products which have fantastic designs and are very reasonably priced.
"With the release of our Christmas 2011 and Big Reaper Halloween collections we’re confident we have launched the most competitively priced range of decorations and accessories available on the market.
"The merchandise includes almost 250 products and we have in fact already secured orders of around £1m which speaks volumes for the range we have put together.
