Browne Jacobson expands into Mowbray House
Law firm Browne Jacobson is expanding its Nottingham operations and moving into 60,000 sq ft of space at Mowbray House in the city. The relocation comes more than a year after HM Revenue and Customs vacated the space and Guernsey-based owner put the building up for sale.
Browne Jacobson, which also has offices in Birmingham and London, had been looking to move out of its 44 Castle Gate offices for some time.
The firm has decided to move into the Grade A office space, which was designed by Hopkins in the 1990s. At the time it was widely seen as a pioneering green project in the UK.
Jones Lang LaSalle's Nottingham office acted for Mapeley on the deal.

In 2010/11 the firm announced five new partner and 13 associate promotions. Three additional partners were recruited to the firm, including Peter Ware, Kate Andrews and Juliette Shaw, bringing the total number of lawyers at the firm to 283.
