Construction company Edmond Shipway has completed work on a £200,000 project for Nottingham City Council.

As part of the city's Local Education Partnership (LEP), Edmond Shipway has provided mechanical and electrical services for a new cafe kiosk and golf pavilion at Woodthorpe Grange Park in Sherwood, Nottingham.

The construction company, also based in the city, began work on the scheme in January to redevelop the golf pavilion and provide a cafe kiosk and toilet facilities for the park.

Built by A J Beaman Construction, the building extends out onto a terraced area which overlooks a new children’s playground.

Daman Ranby, director and head of mechanical and electrical consultancy at Edmond Shipway said: "Very rarely does a unique project such as this come along, where small proportions lead to a striking architectural solution. We are delighted to have been part of the team who has transformed this green space for the people of Nottingham to enjoy."

The new facilities will be officially opened later this month by Nottingham City Council.
