Drivers Direct takes off with Transport Solutions
Transport Solutions, which has a base in Derby, has been acquired by specialist recruitment company Drivers Direct.
The details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Drivers Direct, which specialises in the recruitment of temporary and permanent drivers, said the deal to acquire Transport Solutions will strengthen its presence in the north of the UK.
The company employs 33 people at its Runcorn headquarters.
Drivers Direct said its new branches will be able to tap into a number of support services including remote transport management and training services.
Gethin Roberts, managing director of Drivers Direct, said: "Drivers Direct has established itself as a major player in the industry and our new branches in Crewe and Derby will play a key role in extending our reach to more clients throughout the UK."
