Places in the audience are still available for Insider’s Sustainable Workplace forum which is being held on Tuesday morning (28 June 2011) at the Fore development (just off junction 4 of the M42).
Insider editor Andy Coyne will chair the panel-led discussion which will focus on the benefits of sustainable development and fit-outs, analyse supply and demand in the market and look at the potential inward investment benefits to an area of having ‘green buildings’ ready to go.
From an occupier perspective, the economic downturn has meant that many companies have got the space and time to rethink their requirements. Often this involves making their workplaces more sustainable.
And large companies looking to move into a new-build headquarters are more often than not seeking a BREEAM Excellent rating. But is demand for such buildings high enough to make speculative development anything other than a risky venture?
Confirmed panellists for the event so far are Professor Mark Gaterell, professor of sustainable construction at Coventry University, Martin Hill, development director of BAM Properties and Adrian Southall, managing director, KWB Workplace.
