Willmott Dixon recruited in £2.5m savings drive
Willmott Dixon Partnerships has been appointed to carry out work for public sector organisations across the East Midlands in a bid to save £2.5m.
The capital works specialist will perform repairs and maintenance work on behalf of the East Midlands Property Alliance (EMPA) across Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire.
EMPA recruited Willmott Dixon as part of a new repairs and maintenance services framework agreement. It allows local authorities to buy-in repairs and maintenance services without having to go through a procurement process.
The alliance said it aimed to save £2.5m over a four-year period by using the framework.
Willmott Dixon Partnerships managing director Mick Williamson said: "We believe the efficiency gains made available through the framework will be important in making public sector funding go further.
"We are excited by the challenge of delivering efficient and cost effective services to public sector organisations operating in the East Midlands."
