BCRS to loan £3m to Black Country businesses
Investment fund Black Country Reinvestment Society (BCRS) has revealed plans to lend £3m to regional businesses over the next year.
The organisation made the announcement as it reported a 70 per cent increase in lending to businesses at its recent Annual General Meeting.
To assist with the growth targets, BCRS has also appointed a new business development manager.
Nick Cooper joins following a long career in commercial banking. He will be based at the society's head office in Wolverhampton Science Park.
He said: "I am looking forward to helping our business clients achieve their strategic goals by lending over £1m in Staffordshire over the next nine months. Being both a Prince's Trust adviser and now a part of the BCRS team means I come into contact with all kinds of businesses, from start-up to established, and as we have money to lend I'm delighted to be able to have the authority to say yes."
