Robinson gets educated with £3.6m deals
Robinson Steel Structures has landed contracts totalling £3.6m to work on two school building projects in Derby.
The projects have been awarded to Robinson, based in the city, by Balfour Beatty Construction.
Robinson will design and build the structural steel framework for the rebuilding of Noel-Baker Community School, Alvaston, Derby under a £2.3m contract.
The company will fabricate and install the steelwork structure and metal decking, as well as supplying precast flooring units and stairways.
In addition, Robinson has secured a £1.3m contract to work on a refurbishment programme for Derby Moor Community Sports College at Littleover.
The college will be refurbished and rebuilt through a £19m programme, through which Robinson will supply, fabricate and install 500 tonnes of structural steel.
The company will also build the structural steelwork and decking and obtain the precast flooring and stairways.
