Serif signs up high-street retailers
Software publisher Serif, based in Nottingham, has signed deals with high street chains Staples and Jessops to stock its products.
The company's PhotoPlus Essentials product will be displayed in promotional bins across 120 Jessops stores until mid-July.
Serif said the link-up with camera specialist Jessops was "a tremendous opportunity".
Ellie Robinson, head of business development, said: "Jessops' expertise, customer base and reputation will play a key role in helping our creative software reach more consumers with an interest in photography and video editing.
"We're confident that, as we continue to increase exposure of our software across major retailers in the UK, this new partnership will further strengthen our reputation as a leading developer of affordable and easy-to-use creative software."
Following a successful trial period, Serif has signed a deal to stock its PagePlus Essentials and WebPlus Essentials products in each of stationary giant Staples' 136 UK stores since February this year.
Robinson said: "With many small enterprises and home offices facing challenges in the current economic climate, and therefore taking marketing and website design into their own hands, we anticipate a significant boost in the number of businesses purchasing our affordable and easy-to-use software."
