The Elms hits the market in portfolio sell-off
The Elms in Worcestershire is being marketed for sale after the holding company of the von Essen Hotels chain entered administration.
Von Essen's portfolio of hotels, which includes castles and stately homes, is being marketed by Christie + Co on behalf of its administrators.
The holding company of Bath-based von Essen hotel chain went into administration in April.
Chris Day, managing director of Christie + Co, said: "This collection of fine country house hotels offers a unique opportunity as a whole group or in parts to be added to similar hotel estates.
"Given the history and international reputation of these hotels we anticipate considerable interest from potential buyers who have already been in contact to try and secure some or all of this famous collection of hotels."
