Building society expands with new recruits
Hinckley & Rugby Building Society has created six new jobs, taking the society's total staff above 100 for the first time since the recession struck.
The new appointments take the total headcount to 104, and include roles in the bank's investment, mortgage and IT departments.
Sharon Watkins, Katie Hobbs, Clare Spriggs, Lucy Greening, Anna Fray, and Ben Moore have all joined the bank.
Chris White, Hinckley & Rugby’s chief executive, said: "We are absolutely delighted to be in a position to grow our staff back above the one hundred mark.
"We are only able to do this because of the sensible strategies we have pursued to be careful lenders and to provide excellent customer service.
"The global financial crisis caused practically all mortgage providers – including the mutuals such as our Society – to cautiously manage costs in the face of a steep decline in demand for lending.
"Now, thanks to a resurgent market for our mortgages and savings accounts, we are in a position to carefully grow again. We welcome our new colleagues and look forward to many years of them being part of the Hinckley & Rugby family."
