Share | |

The Birmingham office of Squire Sanders Hammonds has been retained by Red Diamond Holdings, the owner of the Lee Cooper brands, to advise on global licensing, the Lee Cooper trade mark and other commercial matters.

Denim brand Lee Cooper is owned by US private equity house Sun Capital and the business has been restructured over the last 12 months. All manufacturing operations have been sold or closed and the company’s future will now be the licensing and exploitation of its brands around the world.

Andrew Dunkley, managing director of Red Diamond, said: "Red Diamond is delighted to have appointed Squire Sanders Hammonds. Our business is global and we need ready access to pragmatic, commercial lawyers in all of our key markets. We have already used the services of Squire Sanders Hammonds offices in Moscow and Brussels."

Red Diamond's trade mark licensing and commercial work will be led by Andrew Clay, intellectual property and technology partner in Squire Sanders Hammonds's Birmingham office.
