Business growth scheme launches
A new service has launched in the West Midlands that aims to support 300 expanding companies.
Delivered by Business Link West Midlands (BLWM), the ten-day ‘coaching for high growth’ scheme aims to help firms realise their potential, creating more than 600 new jobs in the region over the next year.
The initiative, which is fully funded for SMEs, provides businesses with up to £10,000 of support to develop and review a company’s growth strategy and to provide hands-on assistance in helping it overcome any barriers.
Lorraine Holmes, chief executive of BLWM, said: "If our region is to compete on a national and international stage, we have to do everything we can to encourage businesses that have the potential to grow and create jobs.
"This scheme has been developed with this in mind and gives companies access to the best possible advice and guidance to help them overcome ‘growing pains’ and expand.”
"We are ideally looking for established companies, predicting annual increases in turnover of 10 per cent and who have a minimum of two employees."
‘Coaching for high growth’ is designed to have an impact on the bottom line and further support is also in place for companies that may need help accessing finance.
