Danwood inks Document Express deal
Lincoln-based Danwood Group has bought Document Express, a print and photocopying services company, for an undisclosed sum.
Oldham-based Document Express, owned by managing director and Insider 42 under 42 alumnus Peter Bedford, has annual revenues of around £10m.
Danwood said the deal would strengthen its operations in the North West.
Graham Reeve, managing director of Danwood, said: "We are naturally delighted to have secured such a successful operation as Document Express and it will be a great geographic addition to both our northern region and overall UK operations."
Document Express is a concessionaire of the Xerox brand, with offices in Liverpool, Leeds and London.
Bedford added: "We are excited by the prospect of growing the business with the support of Danwood. As managed print service partner of the year, we are looking forward working with Xerox going forward."
Mazars and DWF advise the shareholders of PHJ. Document Express is the trading name for PHJ. In the company's accounts for the year to 31 December 2009 – the last filed at Companies House – PHJ reported revenues of £9.4m and a pre-tax profit of £407,000.
