Birmingham Forward reveals new chief exec
Peter Rees-Steer has been appointed as the new chief executive of Birmingham Forward.
Rees-Steer, a management and property consultant specialising in business and property performance, will take up the role on 1 July.
He served as chairman of regional audience development agency Audience Central for several years and sits on the national membership committee for the Institute of Directors (IoD).
Rees-Steer was also recently appointed president of the West Midlands Society of Chartered Accountants. He will continue in his role as a director of management and property consultancy, Invigour once he takes up his role as Birmingham Forward chairman.
He will take over from interim chief executive, Mary Daunt, who took over the running of Birmingham Forward following the death of Richard Brennan last year.
Rees-Steer said: “I am extremely excited to be taking up the post of chief executive, at such a pivotal time for the organisation. Having for many years attended Forward events and previously having been involved in the running of the organisation through my days on the Future Leadership Team, I am delighted to be given the opportunity to support Forward and Future and take the organisation into a new and progressive era."
