Edmond Shipway scores with FA contract
Nottingham construction consultant Edmond Shipway has been appointed to manage the St. George’s Park scheme near Burton-upon-Trent. Once completed, the site will become the Football Association’s new National Football Centre.
This 330-acre scheme for the English FA has been in the pipeline for several years and. When completed, it will include two hotels - a Hilton and a Hampton by Hilton; conferencing facilities and a sports science building, which will sit alongside the 12 full-size football pitches on the site.
The centre has been designed by Red Box Architecture and is being built by Derbyshire-based Bowmer & Kirkland.
