Berryman brings in new partner
Nottingham-based law firm Berryman has hired Wayne Smith as partner in its employment team.
Smith joins Berryman having previously run his own niche employment practice – Integra Legal.
According to Berryman, Smith has also previously held senior roles at some of the UK’s leading law firms.
Commenting on his appointment, Smith said: "Berryman has long had a reputation for being a reputable and excellent law firm in and around Nottingham and joining as a partner represents a fantastic professional opportunity to work with a highly talented, experienced and growing team.
"It is without doubt a very exciting time for the firm, following Berryman's merger with Shakespeare Putsman last year. The firm has a very ambitious strategy for sustained growth and expansion in all respects, and I am very much looking forward to being a part of these plans."
Shakespeare Putsman merged with Berryman in November 2010. This followed Needham & James's merger into Shakespeare Putsman in July 2010.
