Nottingham auction bags £3.75m deals
An auction held by property agent Savills raked in more than £3.75m in sales. Items under the hammer at the Nottingham Racecourse event included commercial property, developable land and residential lots.
Savills said the auction had a 77 per cent success rate with several further lots currently under negotiations for sale.
The auction was hosted by Savills director Patrick Williamson who was supported by auction co-ordinator Bob Crocker.
Lots on offer included a small paddock in Lincolnshire, which sold at £30,000, while Fairfield, a detached house situated on the fringe of Lowdham and set within a two-acre plot, sold at £468,000. The adjoining eight-acre land plot secured a £80,500 price tag.
Bob Crocker, from Savills in Nottingham, said: "From the outset of 2011 our auctions have witnessed a strong level of interest. Both buyers and sellers are achieving and acquiring opportunities at a continued good value.
"Savills' next auction will take place on 30 June 2011 and a number of lots are already listed. These include a semi detached property in the sought after suburb of West Bridgford."
