Jumar develops down under
Jumar has set up an Australian subsidiary. The Birmingham IT recruitment and services provider has created Jumar Solutions Australia following a joint venture with Australian company Encode Services.
Jumar entered into a formal partnership with Encode Services three years ago. The joint venture aimed to combine the Australian business's "local market knowledge" with Jumar's IT recruitment services under the Jumar brand in Australia.
Through the partnership, the brand is said to have garnered increased awareness in Australia, leading to the creation of the Sydney-based subsidiary.
Wendy Merricks, chief executive of Jumar, said: "We are delighted to announce this exciting expansion in an increasingly important market for us. The new company will enable us to focus our energies on further developing our IT solutions business across the Asia Pacific region."
Under the new strategy, former partner Encode will continue to be the preferred supplier to Jumar Solutions Australia for recruitment services within the South pacific region. It will no longer trade under the Jumar brand.
