Law society elects new president
James Coningsby has been elected as the new president of Leicestershire Law Society. Coningsby, who is a director at the Leicester office of Nelsons, will be the public voice of the society for a 12-month term.
He was previously vice-president of the society and chairman of its financial and general purpose committee.
Coningsby said: "I am delighted to accept this appointment. The society has worked hard to engage more effectively with members and the public over the past few years and my aim is to continue that work."
He will take over the role from Stephen Wolfe.
Judith Sheen, manager of Leicestershire Law Society, said: "We would like to thank Stephen Woolfe for his commitment and contribution as our outgoing president and now welcome James in the role. James, in particular, has been leading on the creation and introduction of a business plan for the society, which identifies a set of objectives and clear direction for the next three years."
