East Midlands business advisory service Cooper Parry has promoted two of its directors to partners.

The firm, which has offices in Derby, Leicester and Nottingham, has promoted Simon Baines to tax partner and John Bryant to corporate finance partner.

The duo have a combined professional experience of nearly 50 years, the firm said.

Ade Cheatham, chief operating officer at Cooper Parry, said: "We are really excited about the promotions of Simon and John and this is part of our ongoing business strategy and commitment to our team and clients.

"We are investing in our talented people by putting them at the heart of our business growth plans going forward and we are confident they will help bolster the tax and corporate finance offering and the quality of service we are delivering to our clients."

Baines joined Cooper Parry as a tax senior in September 2000 before being made director in January 2010.

Bryant has a decade of experience as a corporate banker having worked for Royal Bank of Scotland's corporate and structured finance team. He joined Cooper Parry in 2005 as an assistant director in the corporate finance team.
