St Modwen Homes kicks off Longbridge scheme

Share | |

Work has begun on the construction of the first new houses in Birmingham-based St Modwen's £1bn regeneration of Longbridge. The scheme of 115 houses and apartments is the first housing development in the UK by St Modwen Homes.

The £12.5m development is being delivered alongside the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), which is investing £3.7m.

Situated off Lickey Road, it will be launched to the public in July 2011.

Jon Hall, sales and marketing director for St Modwen Homes, said: "It is highly fitting that the first development by St Modwen Homes is at our flagship 468 acre Longbridge development. Park View marks a new era for St Modwen and a new era for Longbridge; we are creating high quality homes to establish a new community at the former MG Rover car plant."

St. Modwen has invested more than £75m at Longbridge since acquiring the 468-acre site in 2003.
