GVA acquires Humberts in leisure drive
Property consultancy GVA, which has offices in Birmingham, has exchanged contracts with leisure specialist Humberts Leisure. The company said it will complete the acquisition of the business later this month.
The new leisure unit, to be named GVA Humberts Leisure, aims to bring together the specialist leisure advisory expertise of Humberts Leisure with GVA’s existing hotels and leisure capability and the resources and national network of the UK’s seventh largest property adviser.
GVA has traditionally been focused on hotels and said the deal will allow it to tap into the wider leisure market including pubs and licensed property, hotels, holiday property and caravan parks, golf courses, sports venues, urban leisure, water-based leisure, visitor enterprises and institutional property.
John Anderson, executive chairman of Humberts Leisure, said: "This provides us with a strong platform from which to drive our growth strategy. Integration of the two complementary leisure teams is a tremendous enhancement to our national leisure service."
