HBJ Gateley Wareing to rebrand
Birmingham-headquartered law firm HBJ Gateley Wareing is set to rebrand. From this week the firm will be known as Gateley in England and Dubai and HBJ Gateley in Scotland.
Senior partner Michael Ward said the name change was a "natural step".
"As a national firm, with a comprehensive network of offices, we are keen to reduce confusion and use one name to reinforce our integrated national approach," he said.
"This change in name not only reinforces our vision and values but in areas such as London and the North West where we are not as well known as we are in our traditional Midlands’ base, will provide a clear brand focus.
The firm acquired a chunk of Manchester-based law firm Halliwells' operations last year. The acquisition added 40 partners and more than 200 fee earners to its ranks.
"Following the opening of our Manchester office last summer, we feel the time is right to make this change to allow the firm to focus on a single, strong national brand."
