Birmingham and Solihull LEP leaders named
The business leaders who will run the Greater Birmingham and Solihull LEP have been revealed. Leading the private sector line-up is KPMG's Midlands chairman Steve Hollis.
Hollis will also take on the role of deputy chairman of the LEP board, which has no women on it.
He will be joined by manufacturing representatives Alan Voklaerts, from Jaguar Land Rover's Solihull site; Rob Brown, managing director of Roger Bullivant and Nick Bunker, president of Kraft Foods in the UK and Ireland.
Paul Heavan, owner of Blue Sky Corporate Finance, and David Kaye, managing director of National Express, are also on the board.
Professor David Eastwood, vice chancellor of the University of Birmingham, will represent the region's universities and colleges.
The LEP said that more than 80 applications were submitted for the roles.
The new board members will report to the chairman of the LEP board, Andy Street.
