The Binding Site sold to Nordic Capital
The Binding Site has been acquired by Nordic Capital Fund VIII. The medical technology organisation, which recently moved to a new location in Birmingham city centre, has been bought for an undisclosed sum.
The company has an annual turnover of about £43m. Through the deal, founding Professor Jo Bradwell will keep a small share of the business.
He said: "We have worked very hard to be the leaders in our chosen field, and in Nordic Capital I believe we have found a very supportive partner. I am confident the company will continue to develop and grow for long into the future."
The Binding Site specialises in the research and development of medical diagnostic products.
NC Advisory advised Nordic Capital Funds on the deal
Kristoffer Melinder, managing partner at NC Advisory, said that Nordic Capital had followed the development of The Binding Site "for some time". He added it had been impressed by "the performance of the company and the strength of its product portfolio".
