99p Stores creates 1,000th job
Budget retailer 99p Stores is preparing to launch its 142nd outlet next week. The Northampton-based company said the opening marks the 1,000th job created by the chain in the last two years.
The latest 99p Stores outlet will open in Redditch, Worcestershire tomorrow (27 April).
Thirty-five new jobs have been generated with the opening of the store in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre.
99p Stores boss Hussein Lalani said: "We have conducted research and discovered Redditch people love a bargain as much as anywhere in the United Kingdom.
"We are sure our new branch of 99p Stores will provide the range and value that cash conscious shoppers demand these days. We will have more than 8,000 different product lines, many of which will change weekly."
More than 1.75 million customers shop in 99p Stores across the UK every week.
