D2N2 to host LEP discussion
The Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire (D2N2) Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) is set to host an event for businesses in the region to discuss the progress of the organisation.
The agenda of the event, which takes place at Alliance Boots on 9 May, includes the unveiling of the new D2N2 LEP website and details of the first round of bidding for cash from the Regional Growth Fund.
It will also give businesses the opportunity to discuss submitting a bid for the second round of funding.
Businesses from both counties will get the chance to put their questions directly to a panel of experts, including chamber chief executive George Cowcher.
Cowcher said: "The D2N2 LEP has made significant strides forward since it was established last October and the purpose of this event is to update businesses across both counties about the progress that has been made to date.
"Business involvement is the key to building a strong LEP here in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire and this event will give local businesses the opportunity to get involved, as well as giving them an understanding of how the LEP works, what its strategic priorities are and what it plans to do to drive our economy forward."
