University up for six awards
The University of Nottingham has been shortlisted for six gongs in a Times Higher Education awards event. Nottingham has now been shortlisted more than any other university.
The accolades form the Times Higher Education (THE) Leadership & Management Awards (THELMAs) 2011, which recognise the best-managed institutions in the sector.
The university has been singled out for excellence in student services, student admissions, knowledge transfer, finance, procurement and marketing/communications.
Dr Paul Greatrix, registrar of The University of Nottingham, said: “To be shortlisted once or twice is impressive, but to be shortlisted in six distinct areas is a fantastic achievement and shows the breadth and scope of the excellent work being done by professional services staff every day, in every part of the university.
“I’d like to congratulate all of the teams who have been recognised in this way, and wish them all the very best for the final of the THELMAs in June.”
