Worcester-based Harrison Clark has completed 25 mergers and acquisitions in the last three months. The law firm said the transactions were worth almost £65m.

Transactions completed by the corporate team in the first quarter include advising Focus Solutions Group on its sale to Standard Life and advising management teams in respect of two management buyouts.

Harrison Clark said the value of the deals completed in the first quarter of 2011 was only £7m less than the total value of transactions completed in 2010.

Rod Thomas, Harrison Clark’s managing partner and head of business services, said that the increase in the number of deals completed “indicates that confidence is coming back to the market and people are willing to get deals done”.

He said: “Harrison Clark is proud to offer a larger, more knowledgeable team than any other firm between Birmingham and Bristol. This means that businesses of all sizes going through challenges such as restructuring, acquisitions and disposals, management buy-outs, joint ventures and incorporations can access as much expert legal advice as they need, in any area of corporate law, right on their doorstep.”
