Edmond Shipway wins £7m project
Construction consultant Edmond Shipway has been appointed to the £7m creation of the 'Energy Technologies Building' at the University of Nottingham.
Edmond Shipway, which has an office in Nottingham, will take on the role of project manager and cost management consultants for the eco building.
The energy technologies hub, which has been designed by Nottingham’s maber architects, is situated at the university’s Jubilee campus.
It will have a zero-carbon practice, aiming to minimise the need for heating, cooling, lighting and ventilation. Renewable energy sources will also be used throughout the build.
Clive Layton, director at Edmond Shipway, said: “The University of Nottingham has a history of developing iconic, high quality and innovative buildings and this is certainly following that trend. We are proud to be associated with this project and are pleased to be working with such a substantial Nottingham based client once again.”
