IT software services company Concentrix has been acquired by Technology Services group (TGS). Loughborough-based Concentrix is the 24th purchase made by TGS since its inception.

Newcastle-based TSG said the acquisition was a “key step” in its growth strategy. The company said Concentrix would provide “significant capability in customer relationship management (CRM) software implementation, one of the company's target growth areas”.

Concentrix currently employs 61 staff at its base in Loughborough.

The company provides business software and infrastructure solutions to customers throughout the UK such as Royal Mail, Thomas Cook and E.ON UK.

Ian Dawkins, Concentrix's managing director, said: “Becoming part of TSG will allow us to continue our growth and provide our existing customers with a greater depth of services through access to the full TSG product portfolio including business software, remote support, cabling, wireless systems, telecoms and virtualisation solutions.”

This latest acquisition brings TSG’s staff numbers to more than 500. The company said it intends to continue its expansion plans with further acquisitions across the UK.

The details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Concentrix was advised by East Midlands law firm Spearing Waite.
