Colmore feasts on food festival plans
Colmore Business District (CBD) has announced plans to hold the inaugural CBD Food Festival. Restaurants, bars, coffee shops and pubs from the district will participate in July's event.
Twenty stands have been confirmed including Asha’s Restaurant; Hotel du Vin; Manton’s; Metro Bar & Grill; Opus Restaurant; Purnell’s; The Jekyll & Hyde; The Wellington Pub and Urban Coffee Company.
The one-day event will take place in Birmingham’s Victoria Square on 7 July this year.
Live cookery demonstrations from some of the district’s top chefs will also be on show throughout the day.
The one-day event coincides with the Birmingham International Jazz & Blues Festival, which will include performances in the District.
The festival's event manager Tahreen Kutub said: “We’re very excited about hosting the food festival during a week of jazz and blues performances in the district. Culinary enthusiasts and music lovers can come together and enjoy live music whilst sampling some of Birmingham’s finest cuisine.”
