Wellpak grows with HSBC funding
Fresh produce supplier Wellpak has revealed plans to expand its business after securing a funding support package from HSBC. The Evesham-based company used the funding to develop its site and purchase land.
The new facilities will involve Wellpak dedicating one site to its soft fruit operation and another to its exotic vegetables division. The company, which has increased its turnover by 65 per cent over the past two years, said the new set-up would help increase sales flow.
Roy Harris, regional commercial director for HSBC in the Midlands, said: “The economic environment is improving but businesses still face challenges. Wellpak is a shining example of a business that has an ambitious growth strategy and has identified investment opportunities to deliver that strategy.
“We are delighted to be providing the funding to support their ambitions and look forward to a long and successful relationship with the company.”
Details of the funding arrangement were not disclosed.
