Amazing Retreats unveils investment plans
Amazing Retreats is to invest £8.9m in its conference, events and leisure products in the next year. Amazing Retreats operates two properties in Worcestershire.
The company offers 12 large properties across the UK, including Beau Castle and Standbrook Abbey in Worcestershire.
The investment figure includes the acquisition of new properties to the company’s portfolio as well as venue renovations and refurbishments. More than £750,000 this will be ploughed into renovating the properties’ gardens and outdoor space, including developing marquee areas, planting and seating areas.
Additional bedrooms and banqueting space will also be created at Stanbrook Abbey.
Mike Clare, founder and executive chairman of Amazing Retreats, said: “The multimillion-pound investment underlines our commitment to all our guests, no matter what the purpose of their visit, by consistently developing and improving our product.
“As a result of this investment we expect 2011 to be a busy year for us, with new properties becoming available and new facilities opening at existing locations.”
Last year, the company invested about £30m in acquired property and refurbishment.
