Strata to strengthen in 2011
Housebuilder Strata, which operates sites across the East Midlands, has recorded a pre-tax profit of £1.8m for 2010/11. The company said it expects to strengthen its position in the market and sell upwards of 400 homes in the coming year.
Over the last 12 months, sales of 305 new homes generated revenue of £43.18m with an average selling price of £150,025. Gross margins improved 14.6 per cent, comparable to 8.6 per cent the previous year.
The regional house builder currently has control of 2,926 plots with a further 1,526 under negotiation.
Irving Weaver, chairman of Strata Homes, said: “It has been a very successful year for Strata Homes. We have introduced a more personalised response to our potential customers, helping them to secure mortgages and have also put in place measures to develop lead generation and referral schemes. We will continue to work hard over the coming year and expect to sell over 400 homes.
“Looking ahead to the next 12 months, we are confident that Strata will continue to strengthen its position in the market despite a number of challenges.”
