"Revolutionary" Cube developments unveiled
Birmingham’s iconic Cube development will “set a new benchmark” for regeneration in the city. That’s according to the site’s newly appointed club general manager, Richard Dakin, who spoke to Insider.
Dakin’s appointment as the Club & Spa at The Cube’s general manager was announced this morning.
Sanguine Hospitality’s health club and spa form part of its £13m development, which also includes a rooftop Marco Pierre White restaurant.
Dakin told Insider: “The club will be a bit revolutionary within the industry – we’re not afraid to spend money to get the best equipment. We’ll have a climbing wall over two floors, a canalside members’ lounge and a Kelo sauna.”
Along with a health club and spa and restaurant, a four-star hotel is also planned for the site.
Of The Cube development, which is due to open at the end of the year, Dakin said: “It definitely sets a new benchmark for development in the city. Marco Pierre White’s restaurant is a great brand to have on board – it complements who we are and how we work as a business.”
Sanguine Hospitality has also recruited spa manager Nicola Williams ahead of the launch.
