Carillion signs £204m deals
Wolverhampton construction giant Carillion has won two facilities management contracts worth up to £204m. The contracts were agreed with Nationwide Building Society and Virgin Media.
The contract with Nationwide Building Society is for the provision of facilities management services for the organisation’s entire property portfolio in the UK. Carillion already provides facilities management services for the society's administration estate. The contract commences later this month and will be for an initial period of three years, with an option to extend for a further two years.
Carillion has also been awarded a new facilities management contract by Virgin Media. The deal renews a current agreement and extends Carillion's partnership with Virgin Media to at least mid-2013 and potentially to mid-2015.
John McDonough, Carillion Group chief executive, said: "We are delighted to have secured these new contracts with the Nationwide Building Society and Virgin Media. This reflects the strong relationship we have built with these customers, for whom we already provide extensive facilities management services. We look forward to strengthening these long-term partnerships under the new contracts."
