Wildgoose commences Marston's job
Wildgoose Construction has started work on a new pub and family dining facility in Derby as part of a two-year deal with brewer Marston’s. The pub is located on a 180-acre commercial park in Raynesway.
Marston’s estimates the pub will create between 50 and 70 full and part-time jobs.
Derbyshire-based Wildgoose is one of three contractors selected to build 60 new pubs for Marston’s by the end of 2012.
The company has just completed the Golden Eagle public house in Mansfield, also on behalf of Marston’s.
Wildgoose said it was also assessing the suitability of several other sites as part of the deal.
Tim Walker, Wildgoose Construction’s managing director, said: “Wildgoose has a long history of work in the licensed retail sector having completed numerous contracts for other companies, but this is the first time we have worked for Marston’s on new build contracts.”
The pub, which will be called the Blue Jay, is due to be finished in summer this year.
