Mulitbuild appointed to Loughborough hotel
Contractors have been appointed to build a £4.1m Premier Inn hotel in Loughborough. The 112-bed hotel will be constructed by Multibuild over a 42-week period.
Multibuild, a Stockport-based Balfour Beatty company, was awarded the contract by developer Saxondale Loughborough.
Work will include a three to four week demolition phase and the depletion of a two-storey office building. In its place, a five and six-storey timber frame structure will be created.
A reception and foyer area will be constructed alongside an in-house restaurant and bar and all back of house areas.
The project also includes landscaping works, the installation of bathrooms and associated plumbing works and an internal fit out to create the bedrooms.
Multibuild has also won a contract to construct a Hampton by Hilton hotel in Birmingham, a Hotel Indigo in Edinburgh and a Travelodge Hotel in Cambridge.
